Staff Profile 2013-2014 Mark O’Sullivan Ø Co-ordinator of Youthreach Subla Centre. In addition to co-ordinating the running of the centre, Mark also delivers the Active Leisure Studies and Sport & Leisure modules to the LCA and Junior Cert groups. Mark coordinates the Practical Achievement Task with the LCA group. As Co-ordinator, Mark is responsible for the running of the centre, administration etc. He is also Chairperson of the National Association of Youthreach Co-ordinators, the CDB Waterford Traveller Inter-Agency Group, the VEC Adult Education Advisory Network and the Waterford Traveller Youth Project respectively. Mark plays an active role in all activities that are run in the centre. Supporting the students on a daily basis, Mark works very closely with families and outside agencies. Stephen Dineen Ø Resource Person at Youthreach Subla Centre. Stephen is involved in the day-to-day running of the centre. He delivers IT, Active Leisure Studies, Sport & Leisure and Home Economics courses to LCA and Junior Cert groups. As Resource Person, Stephen supports YSC students with issues they have both inside and outside of the centre. In so doing, he makes links with families and outside agencies e.g. HSE social workers, Waterford City Council housing offices, health boards, Gardai, Juvenile Liason Officers, Treo, Probation Officers, Education Welfare Officers to name but a few. He monitors students on a daily basis promoting positive behaviour and dealing with disciplinary issues that may arise. Stephen supervises the WIT students who come on work experience. He also co-ordinates work placement for the students in the centre with teacher Aisling Walsh. Maria O’Shea-Enright Ø Full-Time Teacher. Maria delivers Maths, Social Education, CSPE, French, Art, Active Leisure Studies and Sport & Leisure courses to the LCA and Junior Cert students. Maria co-ordinates the reading, literacy & numeracy programmes. As a valued member of the staff team, she supports both Stephen and Mark in the running of the centre. Maria also helps with call outs on work placement. Maria supports YSC students with issues they may have both inside and outside of the centre. Aisling Walsh Ø Full-Time Teacher Aisling delivers English, Career Preparation and Vocational Preparation and Guidance to Junior Cert, BTEI and LCA students. Aisling also helps co-ordinate work experience and the reading, literacy & numeracy programme. Una Dunphy Ø Full-Time Teacher Una is in charge of literacy and numeracy in the centre and also teaches art. Patrick Wall Ø Part-Time Teacher/Acting Resource Person Patrick delivers the BTEI FETAC Level 3 Computer Literacy programme. He also delivered some of the LCA ICT module and has helped the co-ordinator with some administration and book-keeping work. Liam Russell Ø Counsellor Liam provides an accessible counselling service to Youthreach Subla Centre students. He also delivers Personal and Interpersonal Skills and Personal Effectiveness FETAC modules to the BTEI group. |
